“God is good to me!” ~ Sarah Dina bas Yehoshua Yosef
Those are the words my grandmother chanted with such fervor almost daily throughout her life. That is despite the fact that she lived through the horrors of Auschwitz, lost her parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews in the Holocaust other than one sister, struggled with her hearing due to being beaten by a Nazi, and lost her husband, the love of her life, at such a young age. She was an amazing woman who lived a life full of emuna, who truly felt and thanked God everyday for giving her such a good life. She passed away peacefully in her sleep, early shabbos morning. May her neshama have an aliyah and may we learn from her example.

Ahhh this is the stock you come from
So sorry for your family’s loss and pain. Your grandmother sounds incredible and inspirational. May her memory be blessed.

“Something beautiful, something good, all my confusion Adonai understood,
All I had to offer Him was brokenness and strife.
But He made something so beautiful, something so good, out of my life.”
