You Don’t Need to Know Why


If one makes knowledge and human understanding a prerequisite to his fear of sin and is unwilling to refrain from a course of action unless he understands it to be negative, he will never possess enough knowledge to do the right thing. 

Rather, he must develop a fear of sin even before acquiring knowledge and follow the path of Torah even if parts of it are temporarily unfathomable due to his limited understanding of right and wrong. ~ Sefer HaMussar
