A person should live with these three thoughts—and with them, he will surely devote himself to Torah:

1. Today is my last day on earth.
   
2. This is the only page of Gemara (or Sefer) I’ll ever get to learn.
   
3. I am the only person in the world whom Hashem has commanded to learn Torah.

The existence of the entire world rests on my learning.
