Two Ways to Grow

There are two ways a person can grow. One is through teshuva—recognizing your mistakes, regretting them, and committing to change, which brings deep spiritual elevation.

But growth can also come by recognizing the good you have done. By being aware of your positive actions—both in serving Hashem and helping others—you inspire yourself to reach even higher.

It’s Not Yours!

When you give tzedakah, realize the money you’re giving isn’t really yours. It actually belongs to the person in need.

Hashem has simply appointed you as His messenger to deliver it.

With that shift in mindset, giving becomes a privilege, not a way to feel important.

Heard a Good Shiur?

After learning Torah, the main thing is to ask yourself: What can I do to apply this in real life?

Don’t think you’ve fulfilled your obligation just by hearing good ideas.  Look for something practical to improve in your tefillah, learning, middos, and beyond.

Don’t Sigh

The Ruzhiner zt”l once heard his daughter sighing. He gently told her:

“One sigh brings another sigh. But one praise brings another praise.

So find reasons to thank Hashem—and He’ll give you even more reasons to thank Him.”

Need Chizzuk to Learn?

A person should live with these three thoughts—and with them, he will surely devote himself to Torah:

  1. Today is my last day on earth.
  2. This is the only page of Gemara (or Sefer) I’ll ever get to learn.
  3. I am the only person in the world whom Hashem has commanded to learn Torah.

The existence of the entire world rests on my learning.

The Key to Tefilla

You tried and nothing happened? KEEP GOING!

When you come back and pray again, and rely again, the very fact that you are coming back and praying shows that you believe fully that only Hashem can bail you out!

Your reliance will be the REASON why you will be answered.

Greatness

Struggling to wake up for Minyan? Good!

Finding it hard to learn Torah, give Tzedakah, or do a Chesed? Even better.

That means your reward is through the roof. Hashem sees the effort—it’s not easy, and that’s exactly why it’s so precious.

Don’t be discouraged by the struggle—that’s where the greatness begins.

Just Wonder

If you suffer a setback in your parnassah, rather than becoming anxious, confirm in your heart that what you need will come to you.

Don’t worry; just wonder, “How will Hashem make this happen?”
