Patience is a wonderful virtue.  Make an effort to be gentle and forbearing with insulting and aggravating people and with your family.  Be as strong as a lion to control your tongue even if you are burning with the desire to speak your mind.  “A word is worth one gold piece; silence is worth two” (Talmud Megillah 18a) ~ R’ Eliezer Papo zt”l

The Vilna Gaon taught that if you are 100% determined to do something good, there is no room for the Yetzer Hara. If you believe you can do it, you will do it!

The problem is we want to keep the door open for our own comfort so we can escape.  But by leaving the door open, we let the Yetzer Hara in!
