Beneath the Mask

A king needed to transport his most precious treasure—his crown—to a new palace. To protect it, he hid it in a simple wagon under straw. No one suspected its true value, and it arrived safely.

This is Purim. A day of immense holiness, but its greatness is hidden. Work is permitted, there are parties, and it doesn’t seem like a Yom Tov. But that’s only because its holiness is so powerful, it must be concealed from the Yetzer Hara, who would try to steal it from us.

Don’t be fooled. Beneath the masks lies a treasure. Daven, connect, and seize the day!

Let’s Prepare for Purim – Huge Segulah!

I learned from a gadol z’l that on Purim it is mesugal to rise early in the morning and daven a lot, and specifically ask Hashem for children, health, and parnassah, or any other matter.

One should pray for himself and his relatives because Purim is a great eis ratzon for tefillah, the spiritual worlds are filled with joy and open to bestowing blessings.

Only You Can Do This

Why does the tzibur join the chazan in saying Modim, unlike the rest of Chazaras HaShatz, where we are yotzei through the chazan?

“Gratitude to Hashem cannot be delegated to someone to do on our behalf – we must express it ourselves.”

Winning the Lottery

Imagine a person winning a $50 million lottery—his joy would be indescribable! Overnight, his life is transformed, and he would never forget that moment.

Yet, the reward for a single mitzvah surpasses all the wealth in the world.

Every mitzvah elevates and sanctifies a person, making the opportunity to perform one the greatest gift from Hashem.

Worried about the Future?

Most people are fine today but worry about tomorrow. Yet, today is the tomorrow you were worried about yesterday—and you’re fine!

Trust that just as Hashem took care of you today, He will take care of you tomorrow.

Take a Moment to Pause

“Know Him in all your ways.” (Mishlei 3:6)

True yiras Shamayim isn’t out of reach—it takes just a few moments a day.

Before you learn, daven, do a mitzvah, or even an everyday act, pause to focus your heart on Hashem.

With this small effort, your entire avodas Hashem will be transformed.

Nothing Else I Can Do

The Beis HaLevi says, “Sometimes, the gates of hishtadlus are closed.”

You’ve tried your best, yet the problem remains.

Don’t despair!

“You have done everything you could do, so now, you have the full right to rely completely on bitachon.”

The Yetzer Hara’s Technique

The Yetzer Hara works in small steps—convincing you to commit one aveira today, another tomorrow, until it leads you far astray (Shabbos 105b).

Use that same strategy, but for good!

Focus on one small mitzvah at a time, grow each day, and before you know it, you’ll reach tremendous heights in avodas Hashem.
