Realize that whenever something happens in your life, it is because it was decreed by Hashem.  As the Sages (Chulin 7b) have said, “A person only bangs his finger in this world because it was so decreed from Above.”

Therefore, whatever you have to do because of life’s circumstances, you are fulfilling the will of Hashem.  

Those of us who left the countries where we were born to go to another country ultimately did so because it was the will of Hashem.  

A wise person will maintain this awareness in all situations.

This Shabbos is one of the most special Shabbosim of the year.  On this Shabbos, Hashem consoles us and gives us hope for the future.

The Maharil teaches, “The Shabbos after Tisha B’Av is Shabbos Nachamu.  The entire nation should rejoice and trust in the coming of the redemption.”

This Shabbos heralds a new era.  The sorrows of the past are over, and now we believe that better times are coming.
