Tefillah for Success in Torah

If someone prays for something that’s Hashem’s praise – such as success in Torah or anything that is related to Hashem’s will – and he pours out his heart with tefillah, Hakadosh Baruch Hu will answer his tefillos, even if he doesn’t have sufficient merits.

The Arizal’s Guarantee

Whoever doesn’t sleep on this night, but instead spends all his time learning Torah, is guaranteed that he will live out the entire year and that no harm will befall him.

Believe in Yourself

A person who puts himself down will not reach his potential.

If he tells himself that he will not be successful in his Torah studies, he will not make the necessary effort to study.

When you think that you will not be able to do something, these thoughts prevent you from accomplishing what you really could if you believed more in your abilities.

The Greatest Praise

Sefer Ha’Ikrim writes, “Bitachon in Hashem is greater than all praises that one can say to Hashem.”

This is because one can say that Hashem can do everything, that He loves us and helps us, but it may be that his heart doesn’t believe what he is saying.

But, when one has bitachon, that proves he believes in all the above. He believes that Hashem loves him, cares for him, and will help those who rely on Him.

Bitachon is the greatest praise because he lives and practices what he believes in.

Jerusalem

When a Jew visits Jerusalem for the first time, it is not the first time; it is a homecoming.

Act

The goal to strive for is to have a strong emotional pull and spiritual desire to fulfill the will of Hashem.

However, if you do not yet experience this inner enthusiasm, it is good advice to act as if you were in fact experiencing it in order to generate natural enthusiasm.

Fear with Love

One should fear Hashem as a man who loves his wife and who is beloved by her, and who fears to do anything against her lest he lose her love.

The same with the love of Hashem.

One should fear transgressing His mitzvos lest he lose His love.
