There are three types of people that the Holy One, Blessed is He, loves.
One of them is a person who does not get angry.

All of the gedolei yisroel that we have known were extremely diligent about doing whatever needed to be done immediately.
Indeed, the Chazon Ish used to say, “A segulah for not forgetting to do something is to do it immediately.”
~ R’ Chaim Kanievsky zt”l
Just as our income is decided on Rosh Hashanah, so are our losses.
Hashem allows monetary losses to serve as a kapparah for decrees. So, for example, if someone is supposed to break a leg, he might instead lose $100. That loss would serve as kapparah; the pain Hashem inflicted on him is in truth a chessed.
However, a more beneficial way to lose that money is by giving tzedakah. If we are going to lose it one way – e.g., in the stock market, or another way – e.g., when the rabbi calls for a donation, surely we would rather the latter.
Not only will you earn a kapparah, but you will turn the monetary loss into a spiritual gain!

Trust in Hashem frees a man from being confined to this world.
~ The Alter of Novardok
Whoever had an opportunity to commit an aveirah and avoids it and is saved from the aveirah, a miracle will happen to him. ~ Kiddushin 40b
Next time you overcome a challenge to sin, take advantage of the moment and say a prayer.
Whoever trusts in Hashem, believes in Hashem.
But not all that believe in Hashem, trust Him.
Emuna is like a tree and Bitachon is like the fruit.
(Many trees don’t bear fruit, but all fruit come from a tree).
~ Ramban
Emuna is a concept, a belief in Hashem. Hopefully, we all have this.
Bitachon is the reality of Emuna, living a certain way and applying that belief.
Hashem created two doors – one in Shamayim and one in the heart of man.
When one opens his heart to the needs of his fellow man, then the corresponding door in Shamayim is opened to hear his cry.
~ The Vilna Gaon
When someone tells you something you already know, don’t tell him, “I heard that already.”
~ The Rosh
In other words, people enjoy sharing news. Therefore, give them the satisfaction of being the bearer of good news. Don’t deflate them by saying you already heard it. Make them feel good!
Learning Torah is like eating the mann.
The mann could taste like any delicacy a person wanted, but if he does not think of anything, it has no taste.
Torah is so sweet, but only if you think. Otherwise, you sit by the Gemara and it has no flavor at all!
~ The Chafetz Chaim
Some people behave like clocks.
Imagine a fire raging all around a house but the clock keeps ticking, oblivious to all else.
The fire comes closer and closer, but the clock keeps ticking.
It only stops when the fire engulfs it!
~ The Baal Shem Tov
