I am adding something new. IYH, every now and then, I will quote a portion of tefilah from the siddur and you have to try and figure out what tefilah it is and where it is found in the siddur. Let’s try it:
“Do not fear sudden terror, or the holocaust of the wicked when it comes. Plan a conspiracy and it will be annulled; speak your piece and it shall not stand, for God is with us.”
Can you identify this tefilah? The answer will come in tomorrow’s email. If you know it, click “comment” to answer.

!אל תירא
After Alenu
After aleinu
עוצה עצה after עלינו
It’s not fair I’m a rabbi
Nusach Arizal says it with gusto at the end of each davening and the psokim come from Mishlei, and Yeshayahu, respectively BUT YOU DIDN’T INCLUDE THE FINAL TWO PSOKIM THAT EVERYONE WOULD BENEFIT FROM SAYING EACH DAVENING: Vead ziknuh ani hy, vead sayvah ani esbol, ani esah, va’ani esbol va’amalayt. Ach tzadikim yodu leshmecha, yayshvu yeashrim es punecha! from Yeshayahu and Tehilim

It is Al Tira and it comes at the end of davening after Aleinu
Al tirah…
יושב בסתר עליון
at the end of Aleinu. Al tirah mipachad pisom…
“al tirah mi’pachad pisom u’mi’shoas rishaim ki savoh”.
After the Aleinu tefilla – there are 3 added extra lines.
אל תירא מפחד פתאם ומשעת רשעים כי תבא. עצו עצה ותפר דברו דבר ולא יקום כי עמנו קל.
Not part of but added to Aleinu in some circles
