Holding the Good for Yourself


“If you have learned much Torah, do not take the credit [literally, hold the good] for yourself.” ~ Pirkei Avos 2:8

If you are a scholar, a rabbi competent to rule on the law, and a judge, do not hold the good and the lieniences for yourself, and the strict decisions for others. ~ The Kotzker Rebbe zt”l
