2.5 Walls = A Hug from Above


When one sits in a succah, he is being hugged by Hashem.  The Arizal said that this hug is represented by the minimum two and half walls of a succah – From the shoulder to the elbow, from the elbow until the hand, and the hand.

(Try bending your arm and hand this way and you will see the two and half walls)
