R’ Kalonymus Kalman Shapira of Piaseczno, also known as the Aish Kodesh, would tell his students each day when lessons were over and they were about to go home:
“My dear boys, never forget that the greatest thing in this world is to treat other people with kindness. Always remember that you are not doing a favor to those in need, they do you a favor by turning you into a benefactor.”
could you please send me the source of this beautiful quote
I actually got it out of a Shlomo Carlebach book. Reb Shlomo was searching for stories and information about the Aish Kodesh and finally one day found one of his students in Israel who told him this story.
Very dissapointed .
Your advertisement does not match the holy words of the quoted text. Why should ppl see this pritzusdik ad right beside the Aish Kodesh.
Please remove the ad and check your content.
Gitta, thank you SO much for pointing this out. I want you to know that I don’t make any money on this site. It is a blog which is hosted by WordPress and they have the right to insert their ads on some of the more popular sites, like this one. I didn’t know that they started doing this, but now that you let me know, I just upgraded to a better package which removes all of their ads. Again, thank you for pointing this out. It shouldn’t happen again.
