Many people fall into the trap and tell their wives all that has happened in their relationships with others. Aside from the prohibition of lashon hara, doing so foments much strife.  Therefore, one who is careful about his soul, should be careful not to reveal such matters to his wife.  ~ Chafetz Chaim
