On chol hamoed sukkos Twenty Two years ago there was a women in an a coma in a hospital in Toronto. The doctors called in the family and said she had just hours left. Her daughter who lives in Lakewood told this to her husband who then called the Skulener Rebbe. The Rebbetzin answered and the situation was relayed to the Rebbe, who was in the Sukkah. The Rebbetzin returned to the phone and said the Rebbe’s reply was that the woman should shake lulav and esrog that Yom tov. The reply was perplexing as she was in a coma but the family left a left a lulav and esrog by her bed. The woman came out of her coma up on Hoshana Raba and shook Lulav & Esrog.
This woman passed away on Monday, hours after the Rebbe was Niftrar. 22 year later.
