We are victims of just attacks, but of unjust attackers. ~ R’ Shraga Silverstein
As explained in the Garden of Emuna, when a master uses a stick to clout a slave, the unfortunate slave certainly doesn’t blame the stick for his troubles. Man and nature are nothing more than mere agents, sticks in Hashem’s hands. Rather than looking at the stick, we should always remember to look at who’s swinging it – Hashem!
This concept is what has reassured me during some of my life’s greatest challenges. Thank you for the reminder!
