Whatever you’re doing, do it with a SMILE!
Taking out the garbage? Cleaning? Shopping for Pesach?
The cost of Matzah doesn’t go down because you’re miserable about it.
כי בשמחה תצאו – let’s do it with a smile 🙂

“Let your garments always be white, and let your head never lack oil.”
~ Kohelet 9:8
Imagine wearing pure white, expensive silk garments, and balancing a full jug of oil on your head. One careless moment — one slip of focus — and the oil spills, staining everything.
So too is Yiras Chet — fear of sin. You cannot let your guard down, not even for a moment.
Because in just a moment’s lapse… everything can be stained.
~ The Kotzker Rebbe zt”l
Many of the things people worry about never actually happen.
But constant fear of what might go wrong can make even a good life feel like suffering.
This kind of suffering is self-inflicted — and unnecessary.
Next time you find yourself worrying, stop and ask:
“How do I know for sure this will even happen?”
~ Based on R’ Zelig Pliskin
A person cannot rely on his wealth, his wisdom, or his strength.
The only thing that can truly protect him… is his tefillah.
~ Midrash Tehillim (Shocher Tov) 142:1
Many people say they doubt something will work out, and they come up with every reason why it’s not possible.
But if you believe in Hashem, the only thing that’s truly impossible… is having doubts.
Rebbetzin Kanievsky a”h would share a teaching from her father, Rav Elyashiv zt”l:
A powerful segulah against fear — such as during childbirth or other frightening moments —
is to visualize the letters of Hashem’s Name, Yud–Kei–Vav–Kei, written in the air before your eyes, and to say with full heart:
“Ein od milvado — There is nothing but Him.”
There is no fear when you remember Who is truly in control.
There’s an angel that has 1000 tongues. When he sings, the music is outstanding.
Nevertheless, Hashem has greater pleasure from a Yid who sings zemiros Friday night.
~ R’ Mordechai Nadvorna zt”l
A Jew’s faith should constantly feel like a baby cuddled in his mother’s arms.
~ R’ Chaim Shmulevitz zt”l
It’s not about whether the cup is half full or half empty; it’s about being grateful that it contains water at all.”
~ R’ Yitzchak Aminov zt”l
A king gave his beloved servant the keys to the royal treasury and said, “Take whatever you want — it’s all yours.”
The servant arrives, finds the door locked, and begins to cry.
But why doesn’t he just open the door? He has the keys in his hand!
Someone who doesn’t take advantage of the 100 daily brachos is like this loyal, but foolish, servant.
He can receive Hashem’s blessings, but he must use the keys – the 100 brachos – to get it.
~ R’ Elimelech Biderman
