The Power of a Brachah

“When a Yid recites a brachah, there are no doors or angels that will stop the brachah [from going up to Hashem].

They proclaim, ‘This is a gift for the King!’

And the brachah brings down blessings [to the person who recited the brachah].'”

Do You have a List?

Everyone has a long list of requests in Shema Koleinu, but how many have a list of thanks in Modim?

When to Close the Door

Just as a door to one’s house is opened and closed at the right time, so too, one must guard his tongue with the doors of his mouth—his lips and teeth.

Just as silver, gold, and pearls are protected within enclosures, so should one safeguard his words.

Even When we Don’t See it

We need to know that even when it appears that Hashem is hurting us, in reality, He is only helping.

All He wants is to act for our benefit, regardless of whether we understand how He is benefitting us.

Something to Remember

One who rises from poverty to wealth feels immense joy and gratitude to Hashem. But over time, joy fades, replaced by desire for more, making what he has feel insufficient.

Remember—all wealth depends on Hashem, who can change one’s circumstances in an instant! With this awareness, you will cherish each moment as if receiving everything anew.

Preparation

When one understands that the purpose of this world is spiritual elevation—an investment that lasts for eternity—physical pain and the absence of material possessions no longer disturb one’s inner serenity.

True happiness comes from recognizing that this world is merely a preparation for the eternal.

Why There’s a Mitzvah to Drink

The Chidushei HaRim zt”l explains that on Purim, our tefillos have extraordinary power—whatever we ask is granted. But such an open gift could attract negative forces, so to conceal this immense gift, Chazal instituted the mitzvah to drink, so people become distracted and overlook the day’s hidden potential.

Don’t miss it—those who recognize this secret can unlock Purim’s immense power through tefillah!

Between the Megillah Readings

The Chasam Sofer zt’l writes in the name of the Shev Yaakov that whoever studies Torah on Purim night (between the two megillah readings) is guaranteed to be a ben Olam HaBa.

It is also an auspicious time for tefillah.

There are many who recited the entire Tehillim and saw yeshuos gedolos!

Beneath the Mask

A king needed to transport his most precious treasure—his crown—to a new palace. To protect it, he hid it in a simple wagon under straw. No one suspected its true value, and it arrived safely.

This is Purim. A day of immense holiness, but its greatness is hidden. Work is permitted, there are parties, and it doesn’t seem like a Yom Tov. But that’s only because its holiness is so powerful, it must be concealed from the Yetzer Hara, who would try to steal it from us.

Don’t be fooled. Beneath the masks lies a treasure. Daven, connect, and seize the day!

Let’s Prepare for Purim – Huge Segulah!

I learned from a gadol z’l that on Purim it is mesugal to rise early in the morning and daven a lot, and specifically ask Hashem for children, health, and parnassah, or any other matter.

One should pray for himself and his relatives because Purim is a great eis ratzon for tefillah, the spiritual worlds are filled with joy and open to bestowing blessings.
