Although tzaras no longer shows up as a white mark on the body or a red mark on one’s clothes or home, it still exists.
The Chofetz Chaim said that today, tzaras, the punishment for speaking lashon hara, manifests in poverty.

The gemara (Gittin 36b) praises those who are shamed and don’t shame back. R’ Shlomke of Zvhil zt”l said that it saves a person from many troubles and punishments, and at times, even from death.
In fact, R’ Moshe Leib of Sassov zt”l said “someone who is shamed should reply ‘May Hashem reward you, because you removed the death penalty from me!’”
~ R’ Elimelech Biderman
The answer to all questions is “Hashem is in charge of everything that happens.”
~ R’ Moshe of Kobrin zt”l (1784-1858)
Instead of asking Hashem, “Lamah” – “Why?” – we ask “L’mah” – Toward what end is this?” – How can I learn and grow from it?
~ R’ Samson Raphael Hirsch zt”l (1808 – 1888)
Since a humble person lowers himself, Hashem elevates him. ~ Eruvin 13b
The Chofetz Chaim taught that loving Chesed means giving freely, without assessing each person’s worthiness.
Giving becomes a cherished opportunity.
In turn, the Heavenly Court views him with kindness, focusing on his efforts rather than his faults.
Remember that nothing ahead of you is bigger or stronger than the power of Hashem behind you!
Yoel prophesied that before Moshiach comes, we will experience an eclipse (Yoel 3).
“Since the moon can be good or bad, and since Israel and Ishmael count according to the moon, if the eclipse happens when the moon is full, it’s a bad sign for Israel. But when the moon is not full, it’s a bad sign for Ishmael.” ~ Zohar on Parshas Ki Teizei
Today is the last day of the month of Adar, when the moon is completely missing and not visible, which hopefully signifies a victory for Israel and that Moshiach is coming!
One who did not get ready for Shabbos by doing teshuvah and good deeds has not prepared a lodging for the Shechinah. The kedushah and Shechinah cannot enter his soul.
Erev Shabbos is, therefore, a time for introspection and teshuvah, so the kedushah of Shabbos can enter and light up one’s soul. A person who does that, palpably feels that “Hashem makes you holy.”
~ Sidduro Shel Shabbos
I never thought about whether I could do something, but only about whether I had to do it.
If something had to be done, I knew that God would give me the means to do it.
~ The Alter of Novardok (1847 – 1919)
