Our friends do not always need to receive advice. Often, they only need an attentive ear to listen to them, with a strong hand to support them, and an open heart to understand them.

When one begins to fall into despair, when he sees that his prayers do not seem to be working and begins to have doubts, this is precisely the moment when he should feel great encouragement and hope.
It is specifically then, when a person begins to feel despair, that is the most auspicious time for yeshuah (salvation).
~ Living Emunah by R’ David Ashear
A lion asked a sheep, “How is my breath?”
“Your breath is terrible.”
“Where is your respect for the king of all animals?” and the lion devoured the sheep.
When the lion then asked the wolf, he saw what happened and said “My master, your breath smells lovely.”
“How dare you lie to me” and the lion devoured the wolf.
He then asked the fox to smell his breath, to which the fox replied “My master, my nose is stuffed. I can’t smell anything.” In this manner, the fox was saved.
The Imrei Noam says, when a machlokes is raging, try to stay away as getting involved in any way will only bring you trouble.
Since my youth, I have seen several times that any man, woman, family, country or city that was involved in a machlokes (disagreement, argument, conflict), both sides didn’t come out clean.
They were smitten on their bodies and with their money, rachhmanah litzlan.
Someone with wisdom will think about this and be mevater (give in)…and will see that for whatever he loses, he will earn reward in this world and in the next world.”
~ R’ Chaim Palagi zt”l (1788-1868)
To clarify one subtle point in Emuna is worth more than anything else that I might teach.
~ The Rambam (1138-1204)
Whenever you perform a mitzvah, focus on the fact that you are doing the will of Hashem.
Aside from all the reasons of which you are aware, there are many other reasons that you don’t know about.
When you focus on doing the will of Hashem, every possible purpose of the mitzvah is automatically included.
~ R’ Moshe Feinstein zt”l (1895-1986)
Orderliness in life is like the clasp of a pearl bracelet.
All things precious are secured only through it.
~ The Alter of Kelm (1824-1898)
When the Vilna Gaon was on his deathbed, those with him asked him the reason for his tears. He held his tzitzis in his hand and replied, “I am leaving a world where for but a few pennies one can perform such wonderful mitzvos, while in the World-to-Come, the opportunity no longer exists.
This, of course, applies to all mitzvos!
Take advantage now and have no regrets later!

What brings a man to trust God?
Emuna – Belief.
Because he who believes in the Creator, that all of his success in this world and the next comes from Him and that there is none other besides Him, he resolves to love Him with all his heart.
~ Orchotz Tzaddikim (15th Century)
