Very Deep teaching from R’ Nachman

It is the essence of the return to God that you should search at all times and beg:  “Where is the place of His glory?”  Then the fall itself is transformed into a great ascent.  The whole purpose of the fall is revealed as being solely for the sake of the ascent, as all our sages have explained in our sacred writings.  Search into this idea and understand it well; it is very deep.  ~ R’ Nachman of Breslev zt”l

      Yes. I don’t have the seifer with me, but I believe it is a direct quote from Lekutei Moharan or possibly Lekutei Halachos. Obviously a person is not permitted to sin, but once he does and he is in the dumps, I think R’ Nachman is saying that he is there for a reason and can now make a great ascent. Once he does, then he can look back and realize that it was all for a reason and all for the best. very deep!
