Everything is destined from Heaven.  The doctors may say that an illness such as I had didn’t call for amputation. But my legs needed to be amputated nonetheless, because that was decreed from Above.  It wouldn’t have happened if it wasn’t Hashem’s will. 

There are those who want to daven, and there are others who want to learn. 

But to want what Hashem wants – that’s something else, entirely.

Hashem put me in this situation. Ask yourself, what does He want of me right now?

A Yid must believe in Hashem’s salvation, not solely when he understands how it can happen.  Even if he doesn’t have any plan, and he doesn’t see any possibility (within the rules of nature), he still believes and trusts in Hashem’s salvation.
